About the event
You will start with a set of gentle, yet dynamic, Qi Gong forms chosen to match the expansive energy of our seasons, as you will explore aligning mind, body and breath using the principles of daoyin.
Daoyin - which means guiding and leading - uses the interplay of paired sensations like tension and ease, movement and stillness, opening and closing; to awaken us to sensations that can arise, merge and fade in our own bodies. The act of noticing can offer the chance for our nervous system to settle and for a new sense of clarity to arise.
You will close the class with a seated meditation, using a seasonal herbal tea blend chosen to engage the senses, drank from a tea bowl cup in the hands.
All movements, principles and tea meditation can easily be integrated into your existing wellbeing or meditation practice. The class can be particularly useful…
